The article reveals the essence of the individual resilience of an entrepreneur as a determining factor in the effective management of a startup project at the early stages of its development. It is substantiated that in conditions of high uncertainty, limited financial resources and constant intensive communication with partners, contractors and stakeholders, it is the resilience of an entrepreneur that ensures the ability to maintain the stability of management decisions and maintain the continuity of business development. Scientific approaches to the interpretation of resilience in the context of economics, management and entrepreneurship are summarized, and its difference from related concepts, in particular stress resistance and adaptability, is outlined. Particular attention is paid to the role of the entrepreneur as the central management figure of a startup, who at the initial stages is forced to combine the functions of a strategic manager, executor, process coordinator and communicator with the external environment. It is shown that individual resilience contributes to effective time resource management, reducing emotional exhaustion, maintaining discipline and the ability to learn in conditions of constant change. The key components of an entrepreneur's resilience are identified, in particular self-regulation, internal motivation, responsibility for decisions made, and flexibility of thinking. The proposed provisions can be used as a theoretical basis for developing practical approaches to developing the resilience of entrepreneurs in the startup support system and entrepreneurial education. The results of the study emphasize the need to form individual resilience as a strategic management resource that increases the viability of startups and their ability to sustainable development. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the formed individual resilience of an entrepreneur is an important condition for the transition of a startup project from the initial stages of development to the stage of stable functioning and creates the basis for its further scaling. It has been established that the development of individual resilience contributes not only to increasing the efficiency of startup project management, but also to the formation of long-term competitive advantages of the entrepreneur, ensuring his readiness to make informed decisions in conditions of instability and rapid changes in the external environment.
