THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF LIFEHACKING IN THE SELF-MANAGEMENT OF A PUBLIC SERVANT

In the article, the author's attention is focused on a relatively new problem in the field of management, namely: the use of life hacking in the self-management of a public servant. Lifefaking as a set of measures aimed at making life easier, and those that allow rethinking complex everyday laws to obtain the desired result, can be integrated into the self-management of a public servant. The emergence of lifefaking is due to scientific and technical progress, the development of information technologies, and the growth of intellectual activity. The very terms «life hack», «life hacking» were introduced into scientific circulation by the British journalist Danny O'Brien, then they spread among the community of bloggers from different parts of the world, primarily among young people, in particular the millennial generation, which is characterized by new forms of information behavior - transmedia, multi-channel and streaming. Millennials are multitaskers, «watchers,» voyeurs, interactive, gamers, and projecters. Different ideas about the main characteristics of millennials contribute to the emergence of different theories, including the theories of Neil Howe and William Strauss. Life hacks have spread thanks to the Internet, where they are presented as texts, infographics, images or videos. Among their main characteristics, in particular, such as saving resources, original vision of the problem, simplification of various spheres of life, ease of application and benefit to others. Self-management, like life hacking, can also be used as a relevant and promising direction in public management and administration, which can help increase the effectiveness of a public servant's activities in view of achieving his personal and professional goals.
