GLOBAL MARKET OF TECHNOLOGIES AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS: DEFINING TRENDS AND STRUCTURAL CHANGES

The purpose of the article is to justify the changes occurring in the global market of technologies and telecommunications from the perspective of modern societal transformation. The defining vector of this systemic transformation is the transition of humanity to a new type of economy based on information, knowledge, intellectualization, and digitalization. Based on examples of the development of the global technology and telecommunications market, key theoretical principles of economic reproduction have been illustrated, highlighting the growing role of innovation in the context of crises within the economic system. The methodological basis of the study positions the technology and communications market as a «singular» category, examined in connection with the «particular» category (high-tech products market) and the «general» category (technology market). Within the study of the global market of technologies and telecommunications, changes in segments such as consumer electronics, equipment, household appliances, IT services, software, and telecommunications are analyzed. The analysis of current patterns in the formation of the global market confirms that the development of the economy and society as a whole follows the vector of widespread application of basic innovations, which form a new set of techno-economic and socio-economic relations. It is argued that markets vividly reflect the defining processes occurring in society. Specifically, the global market of technologies and telecommunications, as a key component of the high-tech products market, reflects the growing societal demand for high-tech goods and services. The diversification of the technology market is demonstrated, indicating the significant role of knowledge, intellect, and creativity in society, alongside the deepening processes of informatization and digitalization. These processes permeate all industries and economic sectors, acting as catalysts for changes in the traditional economic system and shaping the content of modern societal transformations.
