THE INFLUENCE OF INDUSTRY CHARACTERISTICS ON THE PURCHASE OF MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES IN THE POTENTIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

The study’s results of the influence of agriculture’s peculiarities on the purchase of material and technical resources in the process of formation of agricultural enterprises’ potential have been presented in the article. Among the characteristic agriculture’s peculiarities, attention is focused on the influence of the following: the use of land as the main means of production, the mismatch between the production period and the working period, seasonality of production, dependence on weather and climate conditions, zonal features of production, diversification of crop production due to the need to observe crop rotation, a significant number of technological operations for the cultivation of various agricultural crops, the spatial dispersion of production, the use of part of the obtained agricultural products in the further production process. The material and technical resources for the production of agricultural products, which form the potential of the enterprise, are classified according to the possibility of their own production or purchase (seeds and planting material, feeds, productive livestock (poultry), young animals (poultry), other agricultural products (bedding, eggs for incubation), organic fertilizers, fuel, spare parts, building materials) and, as a rule, only purchase (machinery, mineral fertilizers, oil products, electricity, plants protecting tools, products of veterinary care and protection for animals). On the basis that solving the task «Make or Buy» in the process of formation of agricultural enterprise’ potential is complicated, in addition to the financial criterion, by the need to take into account the influence of a considerable number of factors, the values of which can change significantly in a certain time period, authors came to the following conclusion: decisions about own production or purchase of material and technical resources are complex in nature and require thorough evaluation of existing alternatives in order to avoid the possibility of making wrong decisions and negative consequences for the enterprise.
