Abstract

The article comprehensively examines the theoretical and methodological foundations and practical aspects of improving the crisis management system at enterprises of Hotel business. It is substantiated that in the current conditions of high turbulence and uncertainty of the external environment, hotel enterprises face several crisis challenges that require flexible, practical and adaptive management solutions. Recent years have shown a particular vulnerability of the hospitality sector to force majeure, including the COVID–19 pandemic, martial law, political instability and economic turmoil, which has led to a significant drop in demand for services and the need to transform management approaches. Based on a critical review of current foreign and domestic research, the main directions of development of crisis management in the hotel industry are identified, in particular, integration of strategic, current and operational planning, introduction of flexible management structures, development of effective communication channels and staff motivation systems. The article substantiates the expediency of applying a comprehensive organisational and economic mechanism of crisis management, which ensures the sustainability and competitiveness of hotel enterprises. The article describes the stages of the technological scheme of anti–crisis management, which provides for the sequential implementation of measures – from forming a special working group and anti–crisis analysis to developing management decisions, organisation of their implementation and evaluation of results. Particular attention is paid to the role of motivation of employees and management personnel, the use of transactional management and the construction of flexible models of interaction with stakeholders. The study’s results suggest that effective crisis management requires constant monitoring of the external environment, timely response to changes and the formation of adaptation mechanisms. The article provides specific practical recommendations for organising planning in conditions of limited resources, developing incentive systems and improving communication processes. It is noted that further scientific research should focus on developing universal crisis management models that consider the specifics of the Ukrainian market and international experience. The proposals developed in the article can be used by hotel enterprise managers to increase business sustainability, prevent crises and maintain competitive positions in the tourism services market.
